My car failed it's MOT, it has a bull bar on it, I thought I'd sell it.
I have people queueing up to buy it, if I can post it. Mine is £150 less than anyone else, who offer free postage, so why can't I post. Ask the couriers I say, it actually states that on the listing, because of it's size and weight, it will cost £116.50. When you tell people that, they say they could drive down and collect it cheaper, that IS why it is collection only or arrange your own courier.

Wrong size!
It seems that the ever increasing waistline of UK residents is in denial. Over the last month or so I have sold several items that customers have asked to return because they are too small!
Sold a Size 10/12 wetsuit that was far too small, funny, my mrs is a 10/12, fitted her perfectly.
Sold size 7 boots which were too small for my customer but way to big for my mrs who is a 7.5
Sold an XL size that I could squeeze into, I am an XXL, but the customer said it would fit his 11 year old, that is a big family.
I know I am an XXL, I wouldn't lie about it, I wouldn't buy something smaller hoping I might shrink in time, yet it seems many others do.

Still getting questions about the small inflatable boat!
Apparently one person even looked at getting on a train to collect the boat and taking it back on the train, they obviously have no idea how big a 9' boat is!
I have 2 inflatable boats on eBay, both say collection only. The main reason is packing, I know they are both inflatable but with ply transoms, they are heavy and big. I don't want to pack the things, if it's not packed right it will be my fault.

I'm a large 12, can I return it?
I sold a wetsuit, described as S/M, which is up to a 12 according to the manufacturers website. My Mrs is a 12 and it fits her, so should be fine.
Had a message, can I return it, it is too small! It is a 12, I am a large 12. How big is a large 12? 14, 16, 18? Anyway, I accepted the return. Just re-sold it, my instant thought was, I hope this one isn't misguided about her size.

eBay postage is too expensive, can you do it cheaper
After winning a dress, not mine my Mrs, I got a message: The postage is too expensive! I replied, I don't think £3.99 is expensive.
He said, I live in Norway, it says £16.44, can you get it cheaper? He normally pays £7-8 apparently.
I told him I don't want to waste my time looking but just this one time I will. Post Office want £12.31, Parcelmonkey wanted £20.51.
I can't find anyone to take it to Norway for £7-8, he bought the thing and must have looked at the shipping at the time. I have now wasted my time running around for him, so I have told him he must find someone to ship it for the money he wants to pay.
I don't use the P.O., too expensive, so I have to make a special trip (drive, I live rural) to get there. Then if the price is better, drive there again. There is no thought of the seller, I don't add anything on the postage for packaging or travelling. Hence my feelings towards international shipping.

How much to Portugal?
I really do not like shipping internationally, I offer the eBay global shipping program for anything that isn't too heavy, like the boat I mentioned in a previous post.
I have had a message, how much to post a 35kg boat to Portugal? I can but take a lot of packing and it will cost more than the boat!!! So I'm not even going to bother looking, I don't have the time to waste looking.

Cling film it
In response to my response about posting the boat, can I wrap it in cling film? Why does he thing I said collect only? It is so that I don't have to spend my time, mucking about, trying to wrap and post a 35kg boat.
